La Bonne Etoile Artists Retreat was specifically developed to assist artists and writers who would benefit from an experience in another culture, along with a time of seclusion and solitude. But through the years it has developed into more....a community of friends. La Bonne Etoile Blog has been designed to expand the richness of that community by continuing the quest to create and recreate together.

Our purpose of creating this blog is not just to maintain contact with each of you, but also to continue in finding ways to create together. A belief that joy exists in creativity leads us to believe that learning new skills and exploring new terrains are ways keys to continued artistic and personal growth.

Our intent is not to present to you a blog, but to invite you to become part of it’s creation and life.

Soooo….here are some activities that need someone special like YOU. The great part of this, is you don’t have to know anything about how to do the job. The fun is learning how to do something new. In fact, we haven’t even figured some of them out ourselves but that is the beauty of the internet and this new technology. It seems …if you can think it….you can do it.

  • Writers…..do you have something to say? Here is your forum…we will show you how to post.  Do you have some older essays or journaling you feel good about sharing now? Great, let’s get it going.
  • Photobugs….like working with photos? Already know how to post in Picasa? We need help in maintaining the albums for each of the past workshops. Can you help someone learn how to upload their pictures and download others?
  • Like maps?…..we have workshops going all the way back to 2001 that we would like to track on Google Earth. This new exciting program couples with the pictures in Picasa where you can map and journal through the entire trip.
  • Interested in marketing?…….become a helper to Vicki Ross and learn how to keep The Clothesline Gallery going.
  • Good at spelling?……we will give you editorial privileges and you can help edit the contributions before posting.
  • Are you a techie?…..then you can help figure out how to introduce new skills on the blog and to everyone else, like Twitter, FaceBook, etc.
  • Social Bee?…..collect information for the directory, help us keep the Buzz current

Now, you get the idea.  La Bonne Etoile Blog has been created for all of us…..let’s see where it grows and becomes from here.
